This spectacular new club opened in October, 2004 and has the potential to mature into one of the best courses in Atlanta. Golfers are sure to enjoy the tree lined fairways and fantastic views of the beautiful Cole Reservoir.  Reaching 7,300 yards from the back tees it is the longest in the Canongate family.

Heron Bay features a beautiful 18-hole, par-72 Championship Golf Course stretching out to over 7,300 yards from the back tees. Carefully designed and crafted by acclaimed architect Jeff Burton, the course blends perfectly with the community’s natural surroundings and features state-of-the-art Tif Sport Bermuda fairways and bentgrass greens. Numerous golf holes have lake features. The third and thirteenth greens are both adjacent to Henry County’s 1,100-acre Cole Reservoir, providing golfers with spectacular views.

Clubhouse
Golfers will also enjoy a beautiful clubhouse with a fully-stocked pro shop and dining facilities, as well as an adjacent driving range and practice green.  The clubhouse is scheduled to open in February, 2005.

Tennis & Swimming
The Heron Bay location does not currently have a member pool and tennis amenity. However, members can utilize the pool and tennis complex at any of the other Canongate locations and the club is working with the residential developer on a plan to build a member pool and tennis facility at Heron Bay. The current Heron Bay pool and tennis facilities are for residents only and cannot be used by Canongate members that do not live in the Heron Bay development.
