Achasta, formerly known as Birch River, is located north of Atlanta in the city of Dahlonega. This community is right at the base of the Appalachian Mountains, and not far from Lake Lanier. The community is being developed by the Linger Longer.
The centerpiece of Achasta's friendly and active community is Achasta Golf Course, A Jack Nicklaus Signature design—our 6,995-yard, par-72 Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, ideal for walking. There, golfers will enjoy a challenging yet playable masterpiece, with lush fairways and bent grass greens that roll gently past beautiful views of the Chestatee River and the surrounding mountains. The river plays a major role on approximately over half of the holes, with a unique, island fifth-hole.
