River Forest

From the time you enter River Forest and get the first glance of the course at number two, you will get a feel for what is in store.   The private 18-hole championship golf course opened in October of 2004, and the final design was created by Director of Golf Course Maintenance Gary Wilder and Master Shaper Ernest Jones. The course is sure to be a challenging and enjoyable experience for any golfer.

The course was designed to cleverly include natural elements such as granite formations deriving from the Stone Mountain rock system spreading through Georgia. In other places, strategic placements of rocks and lakes make for a very picturesque experience. Not only has the design amazed golfers from throughout the state and the country, but also the fantastic condition this course already is in. Perfect putting bent grass greens along with lush fairways make for a great experience visually, but they also create great enjoyment for the golfer.

The 14,000 sq. ft. clubhouse is nestled in the heart of River Forest, and is home to the golf pro shop, The Old Mill Room Restaurant, and member locker rooms. The club offers a fully stocked pro shop as well as beautiful locker rooms for the members. The back patio provides a spectacular view of the eighteenth green to enjoy while dining or just relaxing after your round. The dining room is perfect for your gatherings or just a casual meal by the fireplace.

Tennis
River Forest features six world- class lighted clay tennis courts. The club hosts a variety of tennis clinics for adults as well as children.

Swimming
There are two swimming facilities located in River Forest that are open Memorial Day through Labor Day. The adult swimming area is adjacent to the clubhouse and has a spacious patio to layout and relax. The kid's pool has several water features, zero entry, and is sure to be a lot of fun for the whole family.

Fitness
Along with each swimming area there is a state-of-the-art exercise facility. The fitness centers include complete cardio equipment, machines, and weights. To help you better enjoy your time in the fitness center, each is fully equipped with large screen televisions and stereo systems. Also throughout River Forest there are pocket parks and miles of walking and jogging paths.

Dining
The Old Mill Room offers an elegant yet comfortable atmosphere for dining.   A full-time Executive Chef and Sous Chef will make sure your dining experience is a pleasure with menu items ranging from a River Forest Burger or Fried Chicken to a Filet Mignon.

Equestrian Center
The Club at River Forest features a 65-acre equestrian center including heated stables, riding area, and nature trails for horseback riding.
